On the occasion of International Women’s Day, our Operations Director, Cristina Cano, was interviewed by Ideal Almería to talk about the role of female leadership in the transport and logistics sector.

In the interview, Cristina shared her vision on operations management, highlighting the importance of dedication, responsiveness and common sense to address the day-to-day challenges of the sector. With an international background and a solid professional career, Cristina now leads the logistics of a family business that started in 1986.

During the conversation, she highlighted how women bring talent, empathy, leadership and high productivity at all levels, and welcomed the increasing presence of women in managerial positions and operational functions such as truck driving. “Today we even have women who go alone in the truck, and they do it with great professionalism,” he said.

Cristina also shared her international experience, especially her years in London where she managed to lead a team of 20 people, an experience she considers key to her professional development. He also emphasized the importance of attitude, discipline and constancy as pillars of success.

For Cristina, 8 March is a key date: “It’s a day to reflect on achievements but also on challenges. It is essential to give visibility to female talent, especially in sectors where we are still a minority”.

In J.Cano we are proud to have the leadership of Cristina, an example of commitment, vision for the future and a determined bet on sustainability, efficiency and innovation in the international freight transport sector.
