Our company has been distinguished with the Third Lean & Green Star, an award that attests to a reduction of more than 35% in CO emissions in our logistics operations compared to the base year. The delivery took place on 19 November in Madrid, as part of the 9th Sustainable Logistics Day organized by AECOC and chaired by Rocío Báguena, General Secretary for Land Transport of the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility.

Lean & Green is currently Europe’s largest collaborative platform for supply chain decarbonisation, and this year has recognised the progress of 36 companies at different levels. Transintercano is thus located in the group of companies that have reached the Third Star, together with industry leaders such as Racing Logistics Group, Eroski, Lodisna and Olmed.

Another step towards sustainable and high-performance logistics
Obtaining this distinction not only certifies the 35% reduction in emissions, but also an improvement in measurement systems, analysis and energy traceability, consolidating our working model based on:

Route optimization and digitization
Fleet renewal towards more efficient vehicles
Team training in efficient and safe driving
Use of renewable energy in our facilities
All this is part of our commitment to responsible, competitive and future-oriented international freight transport.

Leading decarbonization from Eastern Almeria
Since 2017, Lean & Green has established itself as the leading platform in logistics decarbonisation in Europe. With more than 170 member companies in Spain, it fosters a collaborative environment in which to share advances, challenges and solutions.

In this context, we reinforce our commitment to an increasingly sustainable logistics, efficient and aligned with the demands of the market and the environment.

Commitment and teamwork
“This recognition is the result of the coordinated work of our entire team. Sustainability is for us a strategic criterion and a responsibility towards our environment, our customers and the future of our activity”, said Cristina Cano, Director of Operations, during the event held in Madrid.
